Last Updated: August 2025
Overview
Ysleta ISD is encouraging all employees to regularly update their account passwords every 120 days to enhance system security. The message includes password creation guidelines, tips for stronger passwords, and reminders to stay vigilant against phishing and suspicious activity.
Step-by-Step Instructions
When creating your new password, please follow these guidelines:
• Minimum 10 characters long
• Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
• Include numbers and special characters
• Avoid using easily guessed information such as birthdays, names, or “password123”
Quick tips for a stronger password:
• Consider using a phrase that only you would know (e.g., “MyDogRuns@5am!”).
• Substitute letters with symbols or numbers (e.g., “E” → “3,” “S” → “$”).
• Do not reuse passwords from other accounts.
As always, please remember:
• Do not click on suspicious links or attachments.
• Report spam or phishing emails immediately to [email protected] or ext. 41010.
• Practice a “Zero Trust, Always Verify” mindset when handling requests for information or access.
Thank you for helping us strengthen our security and protect our students, staff, and community.
